The championships will take place at the iconic Lee Valley VeloPark Velodrome, the home of the 2012 Olympic Games.

HISTORY
The Lee Valley VeloPark stands as a symbol of cycling excellence and innovation, etched into the fabric of sporting history. Nestled in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, its importance reverberates through the cycling world.
Constructed for the 2012 Olympic Games, the Lee Valley VeloPark hosted track cycling events, igniting a fervour for the sport across the globe. Its state-of-the art indoor track, designed by renowned architect Ron Webb, has since become a hallowed ground for cyclists, attracting amateurs and professionals alike.
Beyond track cycling, the Lee Valley VeloPark encompasses a BMX track, mountain biking trails, and road circuits, offering a comprehensive hub for all cycling disciplines.
Its legacy transcends mere infrastructure, inspiring generations of cyclists and serving as a beacon for future champions to hone their skills and chase their dreams on its iconic velodrome.
GETTING TO THE UK
FLYING
London has 6 main airports: London Stansted, London Luton, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Southend & London City. The UK has strong road and rail networks that can transport competitors to the VeloPark.
RAIL
Le Shuttle and Eurostar provide multiple daily international connections to France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Competitors can either bring their own vehicle or travel by rail to London.
FERRY
The UK Road network enables transportation from all major ports across the Southeast of England, including Dover and Folkestone. Competitors have various route options to take to reach the VeloPark
VISAS & ETA'S

REACHING THE VELOPARK
BY TRAIN –
There are a number of train stations about a 20 minute walk from the venue.
Stratford Station is served by the Underground (Jubilee and Central underground lines), the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and Elizabeth Line.
Stratford International station is served by the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and national rail Southeastern High Speed 1 services to St Pancras International
Hackney Wick and Leyton stations are also not far from the venue.
BY CAR –
You’ll find the velodrome located just off the A12 at Stratford. The venue sits within London’s Ultra Low Emissions Zone. Find out more here.
If approaching on the A12 from the east, take the Stratford exit marked ‘Dalston, Hackney, Stratford. Bear left on the slip road and continue to Waterden Road. Continue on Waterden Road for approx 1.1 miles or 1.7km and turn directly left over the bridge and onto Olympic Park Avenue. Follow Olympic Park Avenue until you reach the Velodrome on the left hand side.
If approaching on the A12 from the west, take the Stratford exit marked ‘Dalston, Hackney, Stratford. Use the right hand lane on the slip road. At the traffic lights bear right and then use the left hand lane marked W’FD and continue to Waterden Road. Continue on Waterden Road for approx 1.1 miles or 1.7km and turn directly left over the bridge and onto Olympic Park Avenue. Follow Olympic Park Avenue until you reach the Velodrome on the left hand side.
PARKING
There are 154 spaces at the venue; these cannot be reserved in advance and will be on a first-come first-served basis. Where possible, we would advise competitors staying close to the Velodrome to walk or use public transport to reach the venue.
There is also the possibility of long stay parking at Stratford International station or Westfield Shopping Centre, both of which are a short 10 minute walk from the venue.

CAMPING
Unfortunately there will be no on site camping. There are a number of camping options within 20km or an approximate 30 minute drive of the Velodrome. Please visit The Valley website for more information and booking.
CAR HIRE
Car Hire will be available from all London Airports. The closest car hire to the VeloPark is SIXT, which is located at Stratford International Station.
OPEN TRACK SESSIONS
Lee ValleyVelo Park and their coaches will be putting on some specific track sessions in the run up to the championships. More information and to book on will be posted on the Better website.
