THE MARCH HARE CLASSIC
The 2024 edition of the March Hare Classic will be held on the Road Circuit at Lee Valley VeloPark on Saturday 23rd March.
This year’s event programme features races for Masters 40+ & 50+ (Masters Regional C+), Women’s 3/4 Cat (Regional C+) 3rd/4th Cat (Regional C+), Women’s E/1/2/3 (National B), and finally an E/1/2/3 (National B).
Entries are available to riders with a Full Racing Licence and valid British Cycling membership.
Pre-entry for all races is essential as there is no guarantee that space will be available for entry on the line.
Please read all of the event information before submitting an entry. Once accepted, entry and administration fees are non-refundable.

PARKING
Parking for competitors, officials and spectators is located next to the Velodrome. Tariffs apply.
Free Parking (less than 4 hours only)
For visits of 4 hours or less, car parking at Lee Valley VeloPark is FREE for competitors. To claim your FREE parking please register your vehicle using the terminal located inside the tunnel leading to the Road Circuit Plaza. This is your responsibility. Full details can be found here
There is disabled parking available for blue badge holders. This is limited so is on a first come, first served basis.
SIGN ON
The sign-on area for this event is located in Suites 2-4 and can be accessed via the Road Circuit Plaza. This area will be staffed at all times but riders and spectators are responsible for their own belongings.
In advance of the event please download the Full Gas app to your smartphone (iOS and Android compatible) as this will be used for the sign on and results service throughout the event.
NUMBERS
Race numbers must be placed as illustrated. Both numbers need to be worn, correctly placed, at all times when you are on the circuit.
Please ensure that they are adequately secured with safety pins. If in doubt, ask for assistance.
Transponders AND numbers are the property of FULL GAS CYCLING LTD and must be returned as quickly as possible after your race.
SUPPORT AND HELPERS
Access to the start/finish/pits area of the Road Circuit will be strictly limited during the event and supporters MAY NOT CROSS THE CIRCUIT AT ANY TIME. Do not, under any circumstances, climb over a barrier or fence.
Access to the timing hut is for Authorised Personnel ONLY.
Please note that DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED on any area of the circuit or plaza. Spectators (and dogs) are welcome to watch from upstairs on the external velodrome concourse. Dogs MUST be kept on a lead at all times.
In the event of an incident only the Event Officials and First Aid team may access the circuit.
KEY VENUE INFORMATION
While we are on-site, Lee Valley VeloPark and Velodrome is open to the public. Please respect the venue staff and other users at all times, accessing only those areas which you are supposed to be in.
LVVP and Full Gas Cycling are not responsible for any damage to, or loss of, personal belongings. Free lockers are available for your use.
Dogs are NOT allowed on the circuit or plaza, and should be kept ON A LEAD upstairs on the external concourse.
Strictly no changing may take place in the sign-on room or plaza area. Riders must use the changing rooms.
Rider and spectator toilets are accessible via the road circuit tunnel. There are also toilets indoors on the velodrome concourse.

by Public Transport
Nearest station/tube: Stratford / Stratford International and Lee Valley VeloPark is a 20 minute walk from both stations. Several bus routes connect to Stratford and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park with the key routes being: 388, 308, 339, 97 and N205 which all stop near Lee Valley VeloPark. Stratford bus station and Stratford City bus station are both close by. Visit www.tfl.gov.uk for more information.
By Bike
There are cycle routes connecting Lee Valley VeloPark to local residential areas as well as the cycle routes through Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The venue is close to Sustrans National Cycle Network Route 1 and Barclays Cycle Superhighway CS2.
Bike racks are available at the venue.
On Foot
There are good pedestrian links to Lee Valley VeloPark from Westfield Stratford City, Hackney and Leyton.
