BRITISH CYCLING OMNIUM & MADISON CHAMPIONSHIPS

Full Gas return to the velodrome at Lee Valley VeloPark this summer with 4 monthly Open Track Meetings.

Each Open Meeting will include support events and one championship event.

SATURDAY 15TH JUNE – 

  • British Cycling Open National  Madison Championship
  • Open Sprint Competition (Limited to 24 riders)
  • Open Endurance Group (open to 4th category, 3rd category and masters 50+ of any category)

SATURDAY 27TH JULY

  • British Cycling Women’s National Madison Championship
  • Open Sprint Competition (Limited to 16 riders)
  • Open A Endurance Group
  • Open B Endurance Group

SATURDAY 17TH AUGUST 

  • British Cycling Open National Omnium Championship
  • Open Sprint Competition (Limited to 24 riders)
  • Open Endurance Group (open to 4th category, 3rd category and masters 50+ of any category)

SATURDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER

  • British Cycling Women’s National Omnium Championship
  • Masters Endurance Group
  • TT (distance will be based on age category)
  • Individual pursuit (distance will be based on age category)

Entry on the day NOT be available for championship events or timed events but WILL be available for the support events subject to space being available.

Once accepted entries cannot be refunded or transferred.

INFORMATION FOR RIDES

Please read all event information before completing your race entries.

  • Pre entries will CLOSE at 23:59pm on the Wednesday before the event.
  • Entry fees cannot be refunded once entries have been accepted.
  • Our events are run under British Cycling Technical Regulations and overseen by a team of British Cycling commissaires.

COMPULSORY REQUIREMENTS –

Previous track experience is essential & riders compete at their own risk. All equipment must be compliant with current BC Technical Regulations and venue terms & conditions.  The use of Hire Bikes (or unauthorised use of ANY equipment belonging to the venue) is NOT PERMITTED in our Road or Track events.

MEMBERSHIP & LICENSING –

All participants must have a current FULL RACING LICENCE for their national federation (with a UCI number if not a BC member). British Cycling members are required to have gold or silver membership. Provisional licenses will not be accepted. Sign on for this event will use the Full Gas Cycling App please ensure you download this before the day.

TERMS OF ENTRY FOR CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS –

British National Championships shall be open to Silver and Gold Members who are citizens of the United Kingdom and dependent Territories, the Isle of Man, or the Channel Islands. Riders must hold a valid UCI-recognised licence showing the rider nationality as “GBR” which has been issued at least 28 days prior to the Event. If resident in another country the rider must hold a United Kingdom passport and must not, in the same Year, have competed in the national championship of any other UCI affiliated national federation.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT – 

Nearest station/tube: Stratford / Stratford International and Lee Valley VeloPark is a 20 minute walk from both stations. Several bus routes connect to Stratford and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park with the key routes being: 388, 308, 339, 97 and N205 which all stop near Lee Valley VeloPark. Stratford bus station and Stratford City bus station are both close by. Visit www.tfl.gov.uk for more information.

BY BIKE – 

There are cycle routes connecting Lee Valley VeloPark to local residential areas as well as the cycle routes through Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The venue is close to Sustrans National Cycle Network Route 1 and Barclays Cycle Superhighway CS2. Bike racks are available at the venue.

ON FOOT – 

There are good pedestrian links to Lee Valley VeloPark from Westfield Stratford City, Hackney and Leyton.
